DEERFIELD, Ill. –The Trinity Christian College baseball team used a combination of powerful offense and consistent pitching to snap a four-game skid with a 13-7 rubber match win over Trinity International University (Ill.) on Thursday, April 29. Hunter Slaats and Will Kulcher provided the fireworks, hitting back-to-back home runs in the third. Slaats finished the day a triple short of hitting for the cycle, going 4-for-5 at the plate. Jacob Hutcherson picked up his first career win on the mound.

Trinity will host Saint Xavier University (Ill.) on Friday, April 30 for their final home regular season game of the 2021 season. The single, nine-inning matchup is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m., following the recognition of the senior class. Games two and three of the series will be played at Saint Xavier on Saturday, May 1. As a reminder, SXU does not allow spectators at this time.
