Box Score 2 JOLIET, Ill. – The No. 8 seeded Trinity Christian College baseball team jumped out to an early lead against top seed Olivet Nazarene University to open Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament play, plating three runs in top of the second inning. The Tigers proved too much to hold down, responding with five runs in the bottom of the fourth and eventually coming away with a 6-4 win.
The Trolls would face the University of St. Francis the following afternoon in the elimination bracket. The Saints scored early and often behind a powerful offense and sound pitching. The Trolls managed just four hits, plating a run in the bottom of the ninth, but falling 11-1.
