PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - A pair of goals in the first 15 minutes put the Trolls in an early deficit, as Trinity dropped their first home match of the year, 3-1 to Roosevelt on Saturday afternoon at the Schaaf Athletics Complex.
Roosevelt (4-4-1, 3-1 CCAC) struck early, with goals in the 9th and 14th minutes for a quick 2-0 advantage. The Trolls (4-4-3, 2-2-1 CCAC) would have three attempts on goal in the first half, but would not get on the board until early after the halftime break, when Lucas Camilo put away his first goal as a Troll, in the 50th minute.
The Trolls continued to look for an equalizer until a penalty called in the 74th minute would be converted by the Lakers, to regain the two-goal lead.
The Trolls will look to bounce back on Wednesday, when they host Judson from Schaaf, for a CCAC match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
