JOLIET, Ill. – A slow start for the Trolls was too much to overcome on Wednesday night, as Trinity women's basketball fell on the road to St. Francis, 84-49 in a CCAC matchup.
Team Leaders
• Sedona Anderson led the Trolls (0-7, 0-2 CCAC) in scoring for the fifth time this season, finishing with 13 points as well as a team-high nine rebounds.
• Leilani Murray posted ten points on 4-of-8 shooting with six rebounds.
• Anastasia Anane scored a season-high six points with four rebounds, going 3-for-5 from the floor.
How it Happened
• The Saints (5-3, 2-0 CCAC) jumped out to a 14-6 lead midway through the first quarter. The hosts closed out the opening period on a 12-0 run to win the quarter 26-9 amidst a six-minute scoring drought for the Trolls.
• Trinity came out on a 6-2 run to open the second half, out-scoring St. Francis 18-13 in the third quarter, but went cold again in the fourth quarter, scoring just nine points as the Saints pulled away.
