DAVENPORT, Iowa – Hannah Schuringa posted a game-high 19 points on Wednesday night, but the Trolls struggled with turnovers throughout the game, as Trinity fell on the road 67-50 at St. Ambrose.
Team Leaders
• Schuringa finished a point shy of her career high, tallying 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting. The junior also posted eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
• Kirsten Kamholtz scored ten points off the bench, going 3-for-7 from the floor.
• Freshman forward Desire Berrien pulled own a season-best 11 rebounds.
How it Happened
• After Schuringa's bucket to open the game, the Trolls fell behind early, going five minutes without a field goal as the host Bees built a six-point advantage, 16-10 by the end of the first quarter.
• St. Ambrose would briefly lead by double digits in the second quarter, but a 5-1 run late in the period would bring the Trolls to within five after a pair of Kamholz free throws. The Bees would take a 35-28 lead at the half, with Schuringa scoring 11 points in the first half to lead the Trolls.
• Amena Alexander opened the third quarter with a three, but St. Ambrose would pull away by holding the Trolls to just five points in the quarter during a 14-2 run after Alexander's basket in the opening minutes.
