How it Happened
• A jumper from Johnny Dieck was the Trolls' lone field goal for the first six and a half minutes of play, until Dieck ended the drought with another bucket at the 13:38 mark of the first half, allowing the visiting Saints to take an early 14-4 lead.
• Trinity would use a 10-4 run to close the gap, as a Loerop free throw with 11:07 left in the first half cut the deficit to 18-12. A pair of scores from Greene near the five-minute mark brought the Trolls to within five, 30-25 but St. Francis would outscore Trinity 14-7 over the final minutes before the halftime break to take a 44-32 halftime lead.
• St. Francis would lead by double digits throughout most of the second half, until Danny Staskunas hit a three with 4:06 to play to make it a nine-point game, 74-65. A quick 6-0 run for the Trolls closed the deficit further after Greene's three-pointer at the 1:45 mark, 78-71, but the Saints would hold on for the win down the stretch.
