PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Hannah Schuringa led the Trolls with her fourth straight game in double figures, but a fast start from CCAC-leading No. 19 Indiana South Bend was too much to overcome, as Trinity fell at home on Saturday afternoon, 91-42 inside DeVos Gymnasium.
Team Leaders
• Schuringa scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, and a 3-for-4 performance from the three-point line.
• Lorena Arnett came off the bench to score eight points, hitting a pair of three-pointers on the day.
• Makaiya Vercher pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in 20 minutes of action off the bench.
How it Happened
• Indiana South Bend would jump out to a 9-2 lead in the first two minutes of play, and would build a 30-point advantage by the end of the first quarter by forcing 11 Trinity turnovers and a 2-for-8 shooting performance in the opening period.
• Trinity were held to nine points in the second quarter, as the Titans continued to pull away by the end of the first half.
