DAVENPORT, Iowa – Guilherme Correia's go-ahead goal in the second half was enough for the Trolls to overcome a deficit and secure a 2-1 victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating St. Ambrose on the road to stay within two points of the leaders in the CCAC title race.
Following a scoreless first half, the host Bees would strike first, finding the back of the net in the 46th minute. David Hernandez would score the equalizer 25 minutes later, recording his 10th goal of the season in the 71st minute, with an assist from J.P. Quaresma.
In the 77th minute, Correia would put the Trolls in the lead for the first time in the match with his fifth goal of the year.
Giorgos Christodoulou secured the win in goal, making a season-high seven saves.
The Trolls look for their second straight win next Saturday, as they prepare for their last road trip of the regular season with a trip to Holy Cross. Kickoff with the Saints is set for 2:30 p.m. CT.
