NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Pablo Nielfa's second goal of the season came at the perfect time, as the freshman's game-winner allowed Trinity to escape with a 2-1 win at Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon, to keep pace in the CCAC title race.

The host Saints would strike first, with a goal in the 28th minute but Ivan Perez would score to pull the Trolls even before the halftime break, with his third goal of the year in the 34th minute.

After being out-shot in a quiet first half, 3-2, the Trolls attack broke out after the break, firing 10 shots in the second half. None would find the back of the net until the 86th minute, when Nielfa scored to give the Trolls their first lead of the day with under four minutes to play.

The Trolls return to the Schaaf Athletic Complex this week, when they host Olivet Nazarene on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Kickoff with the Tigers is set for 3:00 p.m.
