PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Trinity's two-match win streak was snapped on Wednesday afternoon, as the Trolls surrendered a second-half goal to break a scoreless tie in what finished as a 1-0 home loss to Olivet Nazarene at the Schaaf Athletics Complex.
With roughly equal chances in the first half, the visitors would narrowly out-shoot Trinity 5-4 before the break. In the 67th minute, Olivet Nazarene would score the lone goal of the match to take the lead, becoming the first team since September 7 to score a goal on the Trolls in a match at Schaaf, ending a run of 479 scoreless minutes on Trinity's home field.
The Trolls will look to bounce back and secure home field advantage in next week's CCAC Men's Soccer Tournament, when they host Saint Xavier on Saturday. Kickoff against the Cougars is set for 2:00 p.m.
