PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – A first-half goal for the visitors would hold up the rest of the way, as Trinity Men's Soccer fell at home for just the third time all season, 1-0 in a rematch with Judson for the NCCAA North Central Regional championship.
The Eagles would break through with a goal in the 14th minute, controlling possession throughout the first half and out-shooting the Trolls 6-0 before the halftime break. Trinity would have a couple of opportunities in the second half, as J.P. Quaresma and Diego Marting each recorded shots on goal but were unable to find the equalizer.
Despite the loss, the Trolls still have an opportunity to earn an at-large berth into the NCCAA Men's Soccer National Championship, held in Kissimmee, Fla. beginning on December 2.
