PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – In their next-to-last home game of the season, Trinity Women's Basketball came up short on Wednesday night, as turnovers hampered the Trolls in a 80-54 loss to Holy Cross inside DeVos Gymnasium.
Team Leaders
• Amena Alexander led the Trolls with 11 points on the night, with six rebounds and four steals.
• Sedona Anderson finished with 10 points and seven boards, going 3-for-6 from the floor.
• Makaiya Vercher tallied eight points from off the bench, hitting a pair of threes and finishing 3-for-3 on the night.
How it Happened
• Trinity briefly took the lead in a close opening quarter, on Anderson's put-back at the 4:14 mark to lead 12-10. Holy Cross would move back in front with a three on their next possession and take a 19-17 advantage after ten minutes of play.
• The second quarter would see the Saints pull away, out-scoring Trinity 23-10, and scoring 12 of their 30 total points off turnovers in the period.
