PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Connor Janik would hit for a .500 average while Ulysses Munoz made three scoreless appearances on the mound, as Trinity Baseball took three out of four in a series with Roosevelt, first on Friday at Ozinga Field in Crestwood, before returning to the Schaaf Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Game 1
Trinity 6, Roosevelt 3
WP: Hadley (2-1) • LP: Glickman (1-2) • Sv: Munoz (2)
• The Trolls struck first in the top of the 3rd, after a two-out walk from Janik and base hit from Anthony Cappelletti set the table for Oliver Carmody's run-scoring single, giving Trinity the 1-0 edge.
• Roosevelt would tie the game with a run in the bottom of the 4th, but the Trolls would put the game away in the 6th inning, scoring five runs on five hits during the rally. Preston Moore highlighted the frame with a two-run single, scoring Tommy Schaaf and Darreon Mickell.
• The Lakers scored two in the bottom of the 7th, before Munoz came on to secure the save with two quick outs for the 6-3 win.
• Schaff finished 3-for-4 with a run scored, while Moore went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBI in the win. Chase Hadley earned his second win of the year, allowing two earned runs over 6.1 innings pitched.
Game 2
Trinity 6, Roosevelt 5

• A sacrifice bunt from Ryan Grand followed by a Roosevelt error allowed the Trolls to take an early lead in the top of the 3rd, but Roosevelt would come back with two runs in the bottom half of the inning.
• Janik's leadoff single in the top of the 4th followed by Cappelletti's RBI single tied the game at 2-2. The Trolls reclaimed the lead later in the 6th inning when Mickell singled to drive in Carmody and Cappelletti, but the Lakers tied the game again with two runs in the bottom half of the inning.
• An RBI triple that was almost an inside-the-park homerun until the batter was thrown out at the plate would give Roosevelt a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the 7th. Trinity bounced back in the top of the 8th, as the first four batters reached base and RBI singles from Cappelletti and Carmody put the visitors in front, 6-5.
• Munoz would come on in the bottom of the 9th to pick up his second save of the day, working around a two-out walk to secure the win.
• Janik finished 3-for-4 with a walk in the win. Cappelletti went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, two RBI and two runs scored.
Game 3
Trinity 6, Roosevelt 5
WP: Munoz (2-1) • LP: Collins (1-1)
• Jacob Hutcherson would hold the Lakers hitless over the first three innings, but a sacrifice fly in the top of the 4th put the visitors ahead 1-0.
• Benson Holleman gave the Trolls the lead soon thereafter, with a two-run double, scoring Carmody and Cappelletti in the bottom of the 4th.
• A leadoff home run, along with two more runs on two hits and an error gave Roosevelt a 4-2 lead after the top of the 5th.
• After both sides traded runs in the bottom of the 5th and top of the 6th, Trinity would tie the game on a two-out RBI single from Schaaf, 5-5.
• The Trolls had chances to walk off the win in the bottom of the 7th, with the winning run on third and one out, but after Munoz held the Lakers hitless in extra innings, Trinity broke through in the bottom of the 9th on a game-winning fielder's choice from Cappelletti, allowing Omar Wright to score after reaching on an error to start the inning.
• Munoz would earn his second win of the season and his third decision in the last three games, pitching three scoreless innings out of the bullpen, with just one hit allowed and three strikeouts. Holleman finished 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the win.
Game 4
Roosevelt 7, Trinity 5
WP: Daley (2-0) • LP: Strutz (0-3) • Sv: Ogawa (3)
• Roosevelt took advantage of a pair of errors in the top of the 3rd to the tune of three runs and two hits, taking an early 3-0 lead.
• Trinity would even the score in the bottom half of the inning, with RBI singles from Moore and Mickell.
• Both teams would push a run across in the 4th inning, before Roosevelt posted three runs on four hits in the top of the 5th to retake a 7-4 advantage.
• A leadoff walk in the bottom of the 6th, followed by an error and a balk would allow Ryan Grand to score, cutting the Laker lead to 7-5, but a pop-up to end the rally and a 1-2-3 7th inning would close the comeback attempt for the Trolls.
• Moore and Janik each went 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in an RBI. Noah McFadzean had a strong showing out of the bullpen, pitching a scoreless 7th inning while striking out one.
