PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – After shuffling the weekend schedule due to weather, Trinity Baseball would host the University of Health Science & Pharmacy (Mo.) for a non-conference tripleheader on Saturday morning, taking the opening matchup over the Eutectics behind a strong pitching performance from junior Chase Hadley.
Game 1
Trinity 6, UHSP 2
WP: Hadley (1-1) • LP: Lohman (1-1)
• Hadley would earn his first win as a Troll, going the distance in the seven-inning matchup and working around five hits and a pair of runs.
• Anthony Cappelletti gave Trinity the early first-inning lead with an RBI single, scoring Oliver Carmody.
• Darreon Mickell put the Trolls in control in the bottom of the fourth, highlighting a three-run frame with a two-run single to right.
Game 2
UHSP 9, Trinity 3
WP: Calmes (2-1) • LP: Noe (0-2)
• A dominant pitching performance from the Eutectics would hold Trinity without a base hit until the 4th inning, when Cappelletti's two-out single ended the drought.
• Trailing 9-0 in the bottom of the sixth, the Trolls got on the board with a two-out, bases-clearing triple from Benson Holleman, scoring Connor Janik, Carter Chaney, and Mickell.
• Caden Hill would pitch a scoreless seventh inning in relief for the Trolls, in his first appearance of the season.
Game 3
UHSP 10, Trinity 8
WP: Wakelyn (2-0) • LP: Egan (0-1)
• The Trolls took an early 4-0 lead, with one run in the first and three more in the second, with RBI doubles off the bats of Carmody and Janik.
• UHSP would move in front with five runs in the top of the 4th, 7-4, but the Trolls responded in the bottom half of the frame, with three runs on three hits and two errors.
• The Eutectics moved back in front with a three-run sixth inning, 10-7. Carmody would score in the bottom of the frame after a two-out single, working around the bases with a stolen base, advancing to third on an error, and scoring on a wild pitch.
• Five Trolls would have multi-hit performances in the game, with Mickell finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored.

• The Trolls return to the Schaaf on Tuesday afternoon, when they open conference play with a doubleheader against Calumet. First pitch with the Crimson Wave is set for 1:00 p.m.
