DAVENPORT, Iowa – Trinity Baseball claimed their fourth and fifth straight victories on Tuesday, as the Trolls swept a doubleheader on the road at St. Ambrose.

Game 1
Trinity 13, St. Ambrose 8
WP: Egan (1-1) • LP: Heckroth (2-2) • Sv: Munoz (8)

The Trolls struck first, with a leadoff walk from Omar Wright, and an RBI single from Connor Janik in the top of the 1st.

• St. Ambrose would respond in the 2nd inning, scoring five runs on three hits and three walks to take a 5-1 lead.

• Trinity got a pair of runs back in the top of the 3rd, when Oliver Carmody and Janik drew back-to-back one-out walks. Anthony Cappelletti then singled for drive home a run, and two more walks from Preston Moore and Brodie Mayberry pushed another run across the plate to make it a 5-3 ballgame.

• The Trolls reclaimed the lead in the 4th inning, starting with a leadoff double from Carter Chaney. Carmody would later single to drive in a run, and after a fielding error loaded the bases, Benson Holleman's double to left-center scored two runs to put the visitors ahead 6-5.

• St. Ambrose would tie the game at 6-6 in the bottom of the 4th, before the Trolls came back with six runs on four hits and a pair of errors in the top of the 6th. Three runs would score on Wright's bunt attempt, after a throwing error cleared the bases.

• The Bees came back with two runs in the bottom of the 6th to close the gap to 12-8, but another error in the 7th inning allowed another run to score for Trinity, making it a five-run game.

Ulysses Munoz came on in the 6th inning and would secure his eighth save of the season, while Justin Egan picked up his first win as a Troll.

• Carmody and Benson each finished with two RBI, as eight different Trolls recorded a base hit in the win.

Game 2

WP: Hutcherson (7-0) • LP: Baker (1-1) • Sv: Munoz (9)

Trinity jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the 2nd inning, as the first six batters reached base. Chaney would highlight the frame with a two-run triple down the first field line, then score on Holleman's second single of the inning.

• St. Ambrose responded with a three-run rally in the bottom of the 2nd, but Jacob Hutcherson would come in out of the bullpen to throw back-to-back strikeouts and end the threat. Hutcherson then threw five more innings without a hit allowed, striking out eight batters throughout the game.
