MARION, Ind. – Senior sprinter Alyssa Busker finished her collegiate career by setting two school records yet again and picking up her 7th and 8th NAIA All-American honors, at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships last week.
Busker placed 3rd in the 100 meters, breaking her own program record with a time of 11.52 seconds. In the 200 meters, Busker set a Trinity Track & Field record with a time of 23.58 in the preliminaries, then placed 5th in the final by clocking in at 23.66.
With her two performances, the Trolls finished T-25th as a team, with ten points.
Two weeks prior, the Trolls competed at the NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Columbia, S.C., where a combined total of ten male and female athletes earned NCCAA All-American honors.
Dustin Hudak was a two-time All-American at the event, finishing third in the 800 meters and anchoring the 4x800m Relay team. Madison Moraga, Zach Maher, and Trenton Brown along with Hudak finished 7th overall.
Quinton Boyd earned All-American status in two events, placing 4th in the Hammer Throw with a school-record toss of 48.92m (160' 6"), and 5th in the Shot Put (14.19m; 46' 6.75").
Ivan Emde improved his school record in the Pole Vault, placing 3rd overall to be named an All-American by clearing 4.50m (14' 9") for the first time in his career.
