• Six of Trinity's first seven batters in the top of the 1st would reach base, as Benson Holleman put the Trolls on the board with a two-run single, driving home Omar Wright and Oliver Carmody. An RBI double from Anthony Cappelletti and run-scoring single from Carter Chaney gave Trinity a 4-0 lead after the first half-inning.

• St. Ambrose would respond with three runs in the bottom half of the inning, and after Wright's leadoff triple and Carmody's RBI single in the top of the 2nd, the Bees rallied for seven runs off four hits and two errors in the bottom of the 2nd to take a commanding 10-5 lead.

• Both teams added another run to their total before the top of the 6th, where Preston Moore hit a two-run home run to close the gap to 11-8.

• The Bees responded again, coming back for three runs in the bottom of the frame to extend their lead to 14-8. St. Ambrose would add on two more runs in the 7th and one more in the 8th to secure the win.
