PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - In a battle between two sides receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, Trinity Men's Soccer recorded their third shutout of the season, defeating Missouri Baptist 2-0 at the Schaaf Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The Trolls struck early, as Lucas Vilela found Ivan Perez for his second goal of the season less than five minutes into match.

In the 38th minute, David Hernandez recorded his second goal of the season, taking a header from Perez's corner kick.

The Trinity defense would hold off the Spartans attack over the full 90 minutes, with Giorgos Christodoulou making four saves to earn the win.

The Trolls close out the non-conference portion of the schedule on Wednesday, when they head to Huntington (Ind.). Kickoff with the Foresters is set for 6:00 p.m.
