HUNTINGTON, Ind. – A goal in the final ten minutes helped Trinity avoid the shutout, but the Trolls were unable to keep pace on Wednesday night, falling on the road to the Huntington (Ind.) Foresters, 5-1.
The home team took an early lead with a goal in the 17th minute, then added another just before the end of the first half to lead 2-0 at the break. The Foresters would find the back of the net two more times before Guillermo Mate scored his second goal of the season to make it a 4-1 score. Huntington would add one more in the final minute resulting in the 5-1 final.
The Trolls will look to bounce back this weekend, when they return to the Schaaf Athletic Complex and open CCAC play against St. Francis. Kickoff on September 21 is set for 2:00 p.m.
