PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Destiny Goodwin and Desire Berrien each recorded double-doubles on Wednesday night, but the Trolls would come up just short in overtime, falling at home to St. Ambrose 67-64 after the extra period.

Trinity would lead early in a low-scoring first quarter, taking their largest lead of the night on Goodwin's layup midway through the quarter to go ahead 10-4. The Trolls would hold their lead until the end of the quarter, as a pair of threes would give the visitors a 13-11 advantage going into the second quarter.

Four lead changes in the second quarter would close out with another run from St. Ambrose, who hit another pair of three-pointers in the final two minutes to help build a 31-25 lead at the break.

The Bees would take a ten-point lead early in the third quarter, before Goodwin scored three straight buckets to briefly put Trinity back in front, 42-39 with 1:47 left in the third. Both sides would exchange the lead back and forth throughout the rest of the second half, before Goodwin's layup in the closing seconds sent the game to overtime at 62-62.

The Trolls struggled to find their shot in overtime, going 1-for-7 from the floor as St. Ambrose would hold on for the three-point win.

Trinity will look to bounce back next Wednesday, when they travel to St. Francis. Tipoff with the Saints is set for 5:00 pm
