SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior Amena Alexander would lead Trinity with 20 points, matching her career high as a Troll, but Trinity would be unable to keep pace with a hot-shooting Indiana South Bend squad, falling on the road on Saturday afternoon, 103-55.
Trinity struggled to find their shot in the opening minutes, while the Titans jumped out to a 20-3 lead midway through the first quarter. The home team would maintain a 20-point advantage through the first half and pull away the second thanks to a 60.3% (44-73) shooting performance.
The Trolls would play their strongest during the second quarter by scoring 23 points, including nine from Alexander.
Bibi Mercado would collect 13 points and Lorena Arnett posted a career-high ten, as three players finished in double figures for the Trolls.
Trinity returns to DeVos Gymnasium on Wednesday night, when they host Saint Xavier at 5:30 p.m.
