PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Ethan Oros led the team in kills for the second straight match, but Trinity would ultimately come up short on Friday night, falling in straight sets to Oakland City 25-17, 25-18, 25-16 inside DeVos Gymnasium.
Oros collected four kills on the night, along with a service ace, two blocks and five digs. Samuel Kwan led the back line with eight digs, while Caden Figus collected a team-high ten assists.
The Mighty Oaks would lead each set start-to-finish, outpacing Trinity 33-18 in kills throughout the night. The Trolls struggled on the attack, committing 20 errors.
The Trolls will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon, when they take on Aquinas (Mich.). First serve with the Saints is set for 1:00 p.m.
