BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Trinity would pick up the win in game two on Tuesday, splitting a road doubleheader against Olivet Nazarene.
Olivet Nazarene 3, Trinity 2

The Trolls would strike first, taking advantage of three straight walks to lead off the 1st inning. Kamryn Koontz would single to drive in Erianna Claudio, then another bases-loaded walk drawn by Lauryn Packard would score Kylie Simmons for an early 2-0 lead.
Olivet would get a run back in the bottom half of the inning, before both starting pitchers would throw a combined nine straight scoreless frames. The Tigers would break through in the bottom of the 6th, scoring two runs on one hit and an error to pull out the win.
Koontz would finish 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Trolls, with a double and RBI.
Trinity 5, Olivet Nazarene 3
WP: Lorscheider (3-6) • LP: Saldana
The Trolls would rally in the top of the 3rd, after the first two batters would reach base on errors. Alex Hofman would give Trinity the lead with a two-run double, then would later score on Isabella Hull's two-out RBI double for a 3-0 edge.
Trinity would add to their lead with two more runs in the 4th inning, as Claudio singled and Myleigh Halmon doubled to start the rally. Claudio would score on a double-steal, before Packard's sac fly scored Halmon to make it a 5-0 game.
The Tigers would respond with two runs in the bottom of the 4th and another in the 5th, but would leave two runners on base in each of the last two innings as the Trolls worked around trouble to earn the win.
Claudio went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base, while Halmon, Hull, and Anna Lisa Fluder all finished with two hits in the win. Katie Lorscheider picked up the win in the circle, pitching all seven innings with three runs allowed.
The Trolls will look to continue the momentum on Saturday, when they step outside of CCAC play to visit Aquinas (Mich.). First pitch with the Saints is set for noon.
