DES MOINES, Iowa – A late goal from the team's leading striker would allow Trinity Men's Soccer to escape with a draw on Saturday afternoon, as the Trolls took a 1-1 scoreline at Grand View (Iowa).

Despite being out-shot 23-8 throughout the match, Trinity would hold the host Vikings (2-0-1) to just one early goal, which came in the eighth minute. The Trolls would keep Grand View out of the back of the net the rest of the way, allowing for a late equalizer.

David Hernandez would even the score with his third goal of the season, connecting with Juan Carlos who earned the assist in the 82nd minute.

Samuel Negus made two saves in his first start of the year to earn the draw in net.

Trinity will continue their road trip out west on Monday, when they visit No. 2 William Penn (Iowa). Kickoff with the Statesman is set for 1:00pm.
