BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Jacob Brouwer and Maite Farin led the way for Trinity Cross Country on Friday night, as the Trolls competed at the Olivet Nazarene Midwest Classic, at Aspen Ridge Golf Course.

The women's team would bring home a 5th-place finish in the seven-team field, while the men's team placed 9th out of nine teams.

Farin was the Trolls top finisher in her second cross country appearance for Trinity; the freshman placed 24th overall with a 6k time of 25:30.1. Jasmine Orozco set a new personal best in the 6k, placing 65th overall with a time of 28:20.4.

In the men's 8k, Brouwer would finish first on the team for the second straight race, posting a time of 29:54.7.

The Trolls are back in action in two weeks, when they compete at the Warrior Invite, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday, October 4.
