Race Preview
• Trinity Cross Country prepares for the third race of the season, as the Trolls return to the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran in West Allis, Wisc. on Saturday.
• The Trolls last raced two weeks ago, with the women's team finishing 5th and the men 9th at the Olivet Nazarene Midwest Classic.
Maite Farin was Trinity's top finisher in the women's 6k, for the first time this season, while
Jacob Brouwer topped Trinity's men's results for the second time.
• The women's squad has qualified and will compete at the NCCAA National Cross Country Championships, held on Friday, Nov. 14 in Joplin, Mo. The men's team will qualify for the event with a team time of 146:46 in any race leading up to the event.
• Saturday will mark the 9th all-time appearance for the Trolls at the Warrior Invite. Trinity are four-time champions in both men's and women's events; the Trolls won four straight men's titles from 2010-2013, while the women won in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2021.
• Two former Trolls have won three individual titles at the Warrior Invite. Andrew Reidsma won the men's race with a TCC-record time of 26:16.5 in 2012, while Anna Bos won in both 2011 and 2014. In 2014, Bos set the program's best time at the Invite, breaking 23 minutes at 22:43.8
• Last season the Trolls returned to the Warrior Invite after not competing in 2023; Trinity took home 3rd in the women's 6k, and 6th in the men's 6k.
• Ariadna Juarez had the team's top time, placing 8th overall at 25:40. In the men's race, Aitor Mateo was the Trolls' top finisher, clocking in at 31:04.2 to place 40th.

Jordyn Fleener holds the women's fastest time at the event, posting a 24:31.1 in as a freshman in 2022.
