PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. — The Trinity Christian College men's basketball team saw its three-game winning streak snapped Saturday (Feb. 7), falling to St. Ambrose 93–90 in double overtime. Four Trolls scored in double figures, led by Garrett Greene's 26-point performance. Brandon Adorno added 23 points, Aiden Cilladi recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Brandt Martin chipped in 13 points off the bench.

The teams traded baskets over the opening seven minutes before St. Ambrose knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to take a 16–11 lead. Martin halted the run with a three of his own.

The Fighting Bees later pushed the advantage to 37–29 with 2:15 remaining in the first half, prompting a Trinity Christian timeout. The Trolls responded by closing the half on a 7–0 run, highlighted by a three-pointer from Tylan Harris and a layup by Adorno.

Greene opened the second half by giving TCC the lead with a three-pointer at the 17:36 mark. Trinity Christian maintained a 47–45 edge with 14:36 remaining before St. Ambrose answered with consecutive baskets to reclaim a 49–47 advantage.

Adorno quickly put the Trolls back in front with a layup, and Trinity Christian later built a 77–73 lead with under two minutes remaining. St. Ambrose closed regulation with the final two baskets to force overtime, tied at 77–77.

Both teams exchanged scores early in the first overtime before Greene converted a pair of free throws to give TCC an 81–79 lead. The Fighting Bees answered with a basket in the final seconds to send the game to a second overtime.

St. Ambrose jumped out to an 88–83 lead to open the second extra period, but Greene answered with back-to-back baskets to pull the Trolls within one at 88–87 with 1:11 to play. After both teams traded scores, Cilladi split a pair of free throws to tie the game at 90–90 with 13 seconds remaining.
