FLORIDA -- The Trinity Christian College softball team began its 2026 Florida Spring Trip on Sunday (March 8) as the Trolls took on Lawrence Tech and Mount Marty (S.D.). The Trolls fell to the Blue Devils 5-1 before taking on the Lancers to end the day.

Both teams were scoreless through the first three innings of the contest before Lawrence Tech broke through with three runs in the top of the fourth for a 3-0 lead.
The Blue Devils were not done, adding two more runs in the fifth inning to extend their lead to 5-0. The Trolls got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh inning after Anna Lisa Fluder drove in Ava Valk with an RBI double.
LTU got the final three outs needed in the seventh and won the contest 5-1.

Both teams were held off the scoreboard in the first two innings. Trinity Christian struck first in the top of the third inning after
Halie LaGrange drove in
Caitlin Hernandez with a sacrifice fly to right field.
Mount Marty broke through in the bottom of the sixth inning with a pair of runs to take a 2-1 advantage. The Lancers recorded a 1-2-3 seventh inning to close out the game and secure the 2-1 victory.
