Box Score The Trinity women's basketball team competed in their first game of the 2019-20 season as they traveled to the Grace Christian Tigers in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Although the Trolls kept the game close, they lost 66-67 to the Tigers.
Both teams were tied in the first quarter, each scoring 18 points, then the Tigers took the lead heading into halftime as they grabbed two more baskets than the Trolls in the second quarter.
Once the third quarter started, the Trolls were able to gain a point back on the Tigers, scoring 19 points compared to their 18. But in the fourth quarter, both teams scored 13 points, resulting in the Tigers winning 66-67.
Leading the Trolls in the stats was senior Breanna Toppen, who grabbed 14 points, four rebounds and four assists. Junior Jasmine Glover and sophomore Summer Cramer also grabbed 10 points each. Glover secured her first double-double of the season by also getting 11 rebounds while Cramer added three steals.
Trinity will be back in action again on Tuesday, Oct. 29, as they head to Manitowoc, Wisconsin to take on Holy Family College.
