The Trinity women's basketball team hosted their first home conference game of the season tonight against the Saint Xavier University Cougars. 

The Trolls didn't let the Cougars pull too far ahead in the first quarter, but after that, Saint Xavier kept control of the game, causing Trinity to lose 56-96.

Leading the Trolls tonight was senior Breanna Toppen, who recorded 16 points while making four of nine three-point field goals. Junior Abby Coates also finished with 10 points while also grabbing 12 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season.

The team will compete in another game on Saturday, Nov. 16, against conference opponent St. Francis. The game will start at 1 p.m. in the DeVos Gymnasium.
