Box Score The Trinity men's basketball team traveled to downtown Chicago as they faced a NCCAA opponent in the Moody Bible Institute Archers.
From the start of the game, the Trolls took an early lead and kept control of the match over the Archers, not allowing them into the game during either half. Trinity was able to outshoot Moody Bible during both halves of the game, scoring 50 and 39 points compared to the Archers' 27 and 37 point-halves.
Five Trolls scored more than five points in today's game including redshirt sophomore James Pennington (11), junior TJ Lacey (14), freshman Vince Overway (13), freshman Nurell Lacey (14) and senior Deantre DeYoung (13). Along with them, senior Josh Shannon register a team-high seven assists and Overway grabbed the most rebounds with eight.
The team will be back in action again on Saturday, Nov. 16 as they continue with conference play against the University of St. Francis Golden Saints beginning at 3 p.m.
