Juniors lead Trolls to first conference win over Crimson Wave

The Trinity women's basketball team was back in action as they faced a CCAC opponent in the Calumet College of St. Joseph Crimson Wave. The Trolls came out of the match with their first conference win of the season, beating the Crimson Wave 80-58.

In the first quarter, Calumet took the early lead and was up 19-16. However, once the second quarter began, the Trolls took control of the game. Trinity was able to outscore the Crimson Wave throughout the rest of the match to secure the win.

Leading the way for the Trolls was junior Lexi Marin, who came off the bench to record 16 points on the night, going four for six on three-point field goals. She also registered two assists. Three other Trinity players finished with double-digit points including juniors Abby Coates (15), Jasmine Elliott (12) and Jasmine Glover (11).

Trinity will be in the DeVos Gymnasium again this Saturday, Nov. 23 as they take on Cardinal Stritch in a CCAC game at 1 p.m.
