The Trinity women's basketball team competed in their first CCAC game of the season as they traveled to Davenport, Iowa to face the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees.

St. Ambrose was able to grab the lead early, as the Trolls were only able to grab five points in the first quarter compared to the Fighting Bees' 18. From there, St. Ambrose kept control of the game, although the Trolls put up a fight during the remaining three quarters.

At the end, it wasn't enough to secure the win. The Trolls lost 53-73 to the Fighting Bees.

Shining for the Trolls tonight was senior Breanna Toppen, who was the only Troll to grab double-digit points with 13. She also added two rebounds and one assist. Sophomore Summer Cramer was second on the team in points with eight while also grabbing four rebounds.

The Trolls will be back in action again on Saturday as they head to Grand Rapids, Michigan to take on Cornerstone University.
