Four Trolls earn double-digit points for win over Golden Eagles

The Trinity women's basketball team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan today to play the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles in a non-conference match. The Trolls were behind throughout most of the match, but came back in the end to secure a 72-63 win.

In the first three quarters, the Trolls were outshot by the Eagles, with Trinity recording 42 points compared to the Eagles' 53. But in the fourth quarter, Trinity was able to grab 30 points compared to the Eagles' 10, which resulted in the win for the Trolls.

Senior Breanna Toppen led the way today, registering 19 points while also getting three rebounds and one assist. Sophomore Summer Cramer and junior Jasmine Glover also had good days on the hardwood, with Cramer grabbing 16 points and Glover earning 14.

The Trolls will be back at home on Wednesday, Nov. 13, as they host Saint Xavier in their first home conference match of the season. The game is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
