Box Score The Trinity men's basketball team played a tough competitor in the Holy Cross College Saints as they competed in their last conference game of 2019. The Trolls fought to come back in the second half of the game, but it wasn't enough to beat the Saints as Trinity lost 62-76.
In the first half, the Saints were up by 13 with a score of 23-36, with the Trolls only shooting 29 percent. And in the second half, the Trolls recorded 39 points compared to the Saints' 40. But the deficit was already too big, resulting in another conference loss for Trinity.
Three players managed to grab double-digit points in tonight's game. Junior Josh Decker and redshirt sophomore James Pennington both finished with 17 points. Pennington also registered four rebounds and three assists while Decker added five rebounds and two blocks. Junior TJ Lacey also had a successful night, recording 11 points and a team-high six assists.
The Trolls will play in one more game before they take off until the New Year against Holy Family College. They will travel to Wisconsin on Dec. 17, with the game beginning at 5 p.m.
