Box Score The Trinity women's basketball team played in the first game of their Indiana road trip as they traveled to the No. 9 Taylor University Trojans. The Trojans took an early lead, and although the Trolls attempted to fight back, they weren't successful. Trinity lost to Taylor 59-77.
In the first quarter, the Trojans made sure to grab an early lead, scoring 30 points compared to the Trolls' 14. But once the second quarter began, Trinity began to fight back, scoring three more points than Taylor. But the Trolls still found themselves in the hole during the second half and were unable to score more points than the nationally-ranked team.
Scoring the most points for the Trolls was sophomore Summer Cramer, who finished the game with 14 points, going four for seven on three-point field goals. Juniors Jasmine Elliott and Lexi Marin both registered 13 points during the contest to help the Trolls. Elliott was also able to grab 12 rebounds to finish with a double-double on the night.
The Trolls will have a day off before finishing their road trip against No. 11 Indiana Tech on Dec. 20. The game will begin at 3 p.m.
