Trolls grab road win against Eagles 3-1

The Trinity men's soccer team is on the road this weekend in Kentucky and played the first of their two matches, which was against Asbury University.

In the first half, the Eagles grabbed the early lead with a goal from Owyn Howard in the 13th minute. Although Trinity put four shots on goal, they were unable to score a goal.

It wasn't until the second half that things started to change for the Trolls. In the 47th and 56th minutes, two goals were scored in favor of Trinity, making it into the net off the other team. And in the final 10 minutes, senior Gabe Soler found the back of the net, scoring his first goal of the season.

Throughout the entire match, the Trolls put pressure on the Eagles' defense. Manasse Mbuyi and Marcos Shimizu both put two shots on goal while Soler put up one.

On the defensive end, goalie Mathis Muller only allowed one goal in net, making five saves throughout the game.

The Trolls will be back on the field again on Monday, Sept. 2 when they play Georgetown College.
