Physical game ends in loss for Trolls

The Trinity men's basketball team was back at home today after spending two weeks on the road as they hosted the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees. The team kept control throughout most of the game, but at the end, they fell short.

During the first half, the Trolls was up on the Fighting Bees 37-34. As the game continued into the second half, they managed to maintain the lead for some time, but ultimately gave it up at the end. Trinity lost to St. Ambrose 73-79.

Leading the Trolls was redshirt sophomore James Pennington. He had another great night for Trinity as he registered 24 points and 10 rebounds to record his second double-double of the season while also shooting over 50% from the field. Freshman Vince Overway and senior Deantre DeYoung also finished with double-digit points, shooting 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Trinity now has an overall record of 5-14 and a conference record of 1-11. They will be back on the road again Saturday as they travel to Cardinal Stritch. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
