The Trinity men's basketball team took to the court again in Deerfield, Ill. as they faced the Trinity International Trojans. The Trolls took control of the game early and did not let up, giving them their third conference win this season.

In the first half, Trinity Christian put pressure on the Trojans immediately, scoring 46 points compared to Trinity International's 37. From there, the Trolls continued to push forward, resulting in a 92-84 win for them over the Trojans.

Two players finished the night with 19 points for Trinity Christian, including freshman Vince Overway and senior Josh Shannon. Along with Overway's 19 points, he recorded 10 rebounds and seven assists to earn his first career double-double.

Along with those two, three other Trolls contributed double-digit points. Redshirt sophomore James Pennington contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double while freshman Erik Cohn registered 17 points and junior TJ Lacey grabbed 16 points.

During tonight's match, the Trolls also made 18 three-point field goals, which broke a school record set on Nov. 2, 2015 against Great Lakes Christian College. The previous record was 17 three-point field goals made.

The Trolls will continue with CCAC play again on Saturday, Feb. 1 as they host the Indiana Northwest Redhawks. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. following the women's game.
