The Trinity women's basketball team started off strong against a tough opponent in the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints. Although they led after the first quarter of the game, it wasn't enough for the Trolls as they fell 51 to 84 in Joliet.

The first quarter of the Trolls' season, the team started off strong. They led the Fighting Saints, who recently defeated the No. 3 team in the NAIA in Marian, 16-12 before the second quarter began. From there, the Trolls were not able to gather any momentum.

In the second quarter, the Trolls were only able to put up one point, and in the following half, they only put up 34. This ultimately led to a 33-point loss for the Trolls in their first game of the season.

Junior Summer Cramer led the Trolls offensively today, recording 15 points along with three steals. Senior Jasmine Glover also finished in the double-digits for Trinity as she registered 12 points, shooting 50 percent from the field. Senior Gabby Kreykes was able to contribute seven rebounds and three steals while senior Abby Coates added six rebounds, five of which were on defense. 

The Trolls will be back in action again on Tuesday, Nov. 17 as they host Cornerstone University. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. No fans will be allowed in the DeVos Gymnasium. A free live stream will be available at portal.stretchinternet.com/tcc.
