Box Score The Trinity women's basketball team competed in their first home game of February today as they hosted the Indiana Northwest Redhawks. During this CCAC contest, both teams kept the game close, but ultimately, the Trolls were able to come out on top.
In the first half, the Trolls were able to grab a five-point lead, making the score 38-35. Once the second half began, both teams played hard. By the end, Trinity secured a 65-63 win over Indiana Northwest.
Sophomore Summer Cramer shined for the Trolls, scoring 21 points and shooting 50% on three-point field goals. Junior Jasmine Elliott finished second on the team in points with 18 while also recording a team-high three steals. Along with those two, junior Abby Coates contributed on both offense and defense, registering 10 rebounds and four assists.
Following today's game, the Trolls have an overall record of 5-19 and a conference record of 3-13 to break their five-game losing streak. Trinity will be back in action again Wednesday, Feb. 5 as they travel to Saint Xavier. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
