Box Score The Trinity women's basketball team traveled to the Governors State Jaguars for their last road game of the season. It was an even matchup between these two teams, but at the end, the Trolls were unable to come out with a win.
After the first half, Trinity scored three more points than the Jaguars with a score of 28-25. But in the third quarter, Governors State took a small lead and grew it throughout the fourth, resulting in a 61-67 loss for the Trolls.
Junior Jasmine Elliott recorded 17 points along with 11 rebounds to add another double-double to the season. She was also able to contribute a season-high eight assists.
Junior Lexi Marin and sophomore Summer Cramer also registered double-digit points, both earning 14. Juniors Abby Coates and Jasmine Glover had the team's only two blocks while also each grabbing two assists.
The Trolls are now 7-22 overall and 5-16 in conference play. They will be back in the DeVos Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 22 as they host Roosevelt in their final home game of the season. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Before the game, the team will honor its sole senior in Breanna Toppen.
