The Trinity women's basketball team played their final home game of the season as they hosted the Roosevelt University Lakers on Senior Day. The Trolls came out on top, sending their lone senior Breanna Toppen off with a win.
In the first quarter, the Trolls struggled to gain momentum. But that quickly changed in the second as they took a four-point lead at the half with a score of 38-34. From there, Trinity kept the lead, ultimately winning the game 81-71.
Leading the Trolls was junior Abby Coates, who finished with a season-high 25 points while also recording eight rebounds and six steals. Sophomore Summer Cramer also had a strong performance, registering 22 points and six assists while going five for nine on three-point field goals.
Junior Lexi Marin also contributed 10 points, going four for seven from the field while junior Jasmine Elliott grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds.
Today, the Trolls honored Toppen as she played her final game in the DeVos Gymnasium. She finished the contest with eight points, five rebounds and four assists.
Trinity finished their season with an overall record of 8-22 and a conference record of 6-16.
