PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. –  The high energy, high emotion matchup between the Trinity Christian College men's basketball team and Governors State University (Ill.) on Wednesday, Jan. 13 is one of those games that makes you wonder how not having fans in the stands affects the outcome. The fans at home certainly could feel the energy coming from the court as the Trolls picked up their first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) win despite a second half comeback attempt by the Jaguars. Trinity took a three-point lead into the break, narrowly escaping with at 61-59 victory, as the visitors outscored them by one in the second half.

Sterling Brown hit a free throw with six second to play to put the Trolls up by two. The Jaguars were able to get a three-point shot off before the buzzer, but the Gerald Duckworth effort fell short. James Pennington led the charge for Trinity, leading with 20 points. Brown added 14, while Myles Johnson came off the bench to add 13.

The Trolls (3-5, 1-2) return to action on Saturday, Jan. 16, hosting the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Fighting Saints. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
