Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – There should have been a storm warning in the DeVos Center on Saturday, Jan. 10 when the Holy Cross College (Ind.) Saints came to town. Despite trailing by just six points at the break, the Trinity Christian College men's basketball team just could not find a way to contain the Saints – specifically senior guard, Storm Cook – in the second half, falling 93-67.
Down just 38-33 at the halfway mark, the Trolls ran straight into the eye of the Saints storm in the second half. Holy Cross shot an impressive 65.5 percent (19-of-29) from the field and 60.0 percent (9-of-15) from behind the three-point line. Seven of those three came off the hand of Cook who accounted for 24 second half points alone for the Saints.
James Pennington led the Troll offensive with 14 points, while Jalyn Clark added 12. Pennington also pulled down a team-leading seven rebounds with Nurell Lacey adding four. Sterling Brown led with five assists.

The Trolls (2-5, 0-2) return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 13, hosting Governors State University (Ill.) in CCAC action. In their last matchup, on February 19, 2020, the Jaguars came away with an 89-81 win. GSU is currently 3-6 overall and 1-0 in the CCAC. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the DeVos Center.
