Electric offense leads Trolls past Maranatha Baptist on Senior Night

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Fresh off of a pause in competition and looking to fine tune before heading into he post season, the Trinity Christian College men's basketball team hosted Maranatha Baptist University (Wis.) on Friday, Feb. 20. Before the tip, the Trolls recognized and honored their two seniors…after the tip, the Trolls went to work. Five players posted double-digits offensively, thanks in part to shooting nearly 80 percent from the field in the second half. When the final horn blew, the Trolls came away with a 106-97 victory.

NEWS AND NOTES

  • Tonight, the Trolls recognized and honored the two seniors – TJ Lacey and Sasha Dolishniy, for their leadership and hard work that has helped to build the program.
  • Trinity goes into their final conference game tied for fifth place, based on winning percentage. This season, the CCAC is allowing all 15 teams to advance to the conference tournament. The seedings will be decided on a combination of an agreed upon ranking system and a coach's poll. Brackets with opponent, times and locations will be released by the conference office on Sunday night.
  • The last time the Trolls posted triple digits was on November 21st, 2019 in a 105-86 win over The Crown College.

WHAT'S NEXT

Trinity (8-8, 5-4) will play their final regular season contest on the road at Roosevelt University on Saturday, Feb. 20. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. There are no spectators permitted, however, a live stream is available.
