Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Do you remember when Star Wars was rereleased in theaters? The original Star Wars, when the showed them in theatres again before the prequels were released. No? Well, it was in February 1997. That also happens to be the last time the Trinity Christian College men's basketball team defeated Saint Xavier University (Ill.). That is, until February 3 when the 35-game losing streak came to an exciting end with an 89-81 victory.
Statistically, the difference in the game came at the free throw line. Trinity shot an astounding 86-percent, 31-of-36 from the charity stripe. Four players finished the night in double digits for the Trolls, led by a season-high 38 off the hands of James Pennington. Of his 38 points, 14 came from the free throw line where he was perfect until the final three seconds of the game.
Myles Johnson led the Trolls with 12 rebounds and two blocked shots, while also adding 15 points for his first double-double of the season. Jalyn Clark added 11 points, missing his season-high total by just one point. For the second straight game, Vince Overway added 10 points.

Trinity (6-8, 4-4) will head to Calumet College of St. Joseph on Saturday, Feb. 6 to face the Crimson Wave in CCAC action. Last season the two teams split in their two matchups. CCSJ enters the game with an 0-4 overall and conference record. Tip off is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Whiting, Indiana. There are no spectators allowed, but a live broadcast will be provided.
