Whiting, Ind. - Trinity Christian College women's basketball (11-5, 7-2 CCAC) had to put their historic season on pause. It had been 27 days since Theo Owens got a chance to coach his team in a game. On Saturday, they looked like they never had a break. The Trolls took down Calumet College (0-12, 0-11 CCAC) by a final of 80-66. 

Trinity Christian was led by senior Gabby Kreykes. She poured in 28 points, snared 9 rebounds and blocked four shots. The four blocks were a season high for Kreykes. 

The Trolls led 25-16 after the first quarter and it was freshman Hannah Schuringa scoring 10 of her 19 points in the first. In the second quarter, Trinity used balance scoring to take a 42-23 lead into the break. During the second quarter, seven different Trolls scored at least one point. 

Calumet hung around in the second half, but Trinity Christian sprinted out of Indiana with another win. The Trolls ended the day with a noticeable 49-32 advantage on the glass and their 18 offensive rebounds were the most in a game this season.

NOTES & NUMBERS:

• Gabby Kreykes bumped her season average to 26.4 points per game. Kreykes has score 20+ points in 11 of 15 games this year. She went 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Her three made three-pointers ties a season-high. 
• Freshman sensation Hannah Schuringa was one-point away from a season-high on Saturday. Schuringa scored 19 points and tied her career high in rebounds with 12.
• Sofia Radice had eight rebounds. It's the second most she's had this year. She snatched 12 boards against Campbellsville Univ.-Harrodsburg on Nov. 6.
• Jasmine Glover was setting up teammates often on Saturday. She had a season-high five assists.
