CHICAGO, Ill. – An early first-half goal would stand for most of the game, as Trinity had lots of opportunities but were unable to find the equalizer in a 1-0 road loss at Saint Xavier on Saturday night.

The host Cougars (3-6-2, 2-3-1 CCAC) struck for the only goal of the game in the 16th minute. Starting with Jorge Alencar's shot in the 21st minute, Trinity (1-8-2, 1-5-1 CCAC) fired four shots on goal in an eight-minute span, but all were stopped by the SXU goalkeeper.

Saint Xavier would control more of the tempo in the second half, holding Trinity to just two shots taken in the final 45 minutes.

The Trolls will look to bounce back on Wednesday afternoon, when they travel to Judson. Kickoff with the Eagles on October 5 is set for 2:00 p.m.
