Manasse Mbuyi found his second goal of the season, but Trinity struggled to generate consistent offense on Saturday, as the Trolls dropped a decision on the road to Roosevelt, 3-1.

The Lakers (7-6-1, 6-4-1 CCAC) struck first, scoring in the 12th minute off a corner kick. Mbuyi gave the Trolls (1-12-2, 1-9-1 CCAC) the equalizer in the 24th minute, but Roosevelt responded again before the end of the half, reclaiming a 2-1 advantage with a goal five minutes before the break.

Trinity battled throughout the second half, looking to even the score again, but in the 84th minute the Lakers would put the match away with their third goal of the day.

Mbuyi led the team with a pair of shots taken for the Trolls, while goalkeeper Giorgos Christodoulou made seven saves on the day.

The Trolls return home for the final two matches of the season, beginning with a non-conference meeting with Great Lakes Christian (Mich.) on Wednesday, October 26. Kickoff from Schaaf Athletic Complex is set for 3:00 p.m.
